Legacy Innovations was founded in 2016 by a forward thinking entrepreneur with a simple but powerful idea: give new life to abandoned HDPE water lines from oil and gas fields in the Powder River Basin. In the beginning, we focused on reusing this pipe for non potable water applications, a service we still proudly offer today for second use projects.
As we processed the pipe, we began generating scrap material that could not be reused for waterline applications. Rather than waste it, we saw an opportunity. After months of planning, we purchased an enclosed riding arena and transformed it into our plastic processing and fabrication facility. That expansion marked a turning point, allowing us to begin producing reprocessed HDPE sheets that we now manufacture and sell in house.
Once the new facility was up and running, the Legacy team started rethinking traditional steel and aluminum products and redesigning them to be fabricated with HDPE instead. Today, our most popular products include water tanks, pickup utility beds, recycled HDPE sheets, and our personal favorite, HDPE boats.
